Nashville, TN - March 31, 2011 -- Jim Labriola, best known for his role as Benny Baroni on ABC's hit comedy "Home Improvement," releases his latest CD, Heart Improvement, in stores now. The project is a light-hearted look at Labriola's experience growing up in an Italian Catholic family from Queens, New York.

Recorded live in Cape Coral, Fla., Heart Improvement is Labriola's first release to the Christian market. Like most comedians, his earliest routines focused mainly on adult themes and vulgarity. After reading Ephesians 5:4, Labriola began to reassess his core values and contemplate serious life change. This latest project reflects Labriola's "Heart Improvement," and features comedy bits about everyday experiences, including his Italian upbringing.

The track listing is as follows:
1. Intro
2. When Did You Get Out
3. Looks Like A Heart Attack
4. Go Buy A Piano For Your Church
5. Hunting At The Zoo
6. Electric Confessional
7. Three Headed Grouper
8. Black Socks & Silk Shorts
9. Didn't Mean To Kill 'Em
10. Women Are Superior Beings
11. Boot Camp For Engaged Men
12. Goliath Had A Heart Attack
13. Good Chances Airlines

Labriola comments, "My mission and ministry is to lift up the body of Christ with laughter. I am very proud of this CD. It will make many people laugh and have a good time, and that's what it's all about."

"The comedy genre has become very uninspiring in the last few years," says Transform Music Group CEO, Matt Rogers. "I believe Heart Improvement is a huge step in the right direction."

The project is distributed via CLG Distribution and supported by a major media campaign as well as a national radio push and promotional tour. To find out more about Heart Improvement or to listen to excerpts online, visit: www.transform-music.com.

A favorite on the comedy club scene, guest star on multiple network sitcoms, and with motion picture appearances including Disney's "The Santa Clause," Labriola boasts a prolific career. In 1999, he dedicated his life to Christ and now travels nationally performing for churches as well as charity events, while speaking at business meetings and motivational seminars. Most recently he toured the country aboard the Tea Party Express alongside such notable figures as former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. About Jim Labriola:
Jim Labriola, born and raised in Queens, New York, always had a natural flair for comedy. During his youth, he spent hours a day listening to his favorite comedy records like Pat Cooper, George Carlin and, his personal idol, Don Rickles. In 1989, Jim opened for Tim Allen at Governor's comedy club on Long Island. This fortuitous meeting sparked a close friendship and a big boost for Jim's career when he was offered a character on the hit show, Home Improvement. He soon landed guest spots for several network sitcoms and motion pictures, including Disney's huge hit, The Santa Clause. His role on Home Improvement grew from his first guest appearance to the very popular recurring character of Benny Barony. Jim now travels the country speaking at business meetings and motivational seminars, and he continues to have appearances on television and film.
